Silver jewellery short course

6.30pm - 9.30pm (six sessions)

Our silver jewellery short course is designed for both the beginner and the more experienced jewellery maker. Throughout the six weeks you will be guided through the design process and techniques required to make jewellery from silver including piercing, shaping, filing, texturing, forming and soldering.

If you are new to jewellery making we will start with a simple project which will introduce you to various different techniques and help you to put them into practice. You will then have the opportunity to work on your own projects with support from us.

If you have previous experience you can start working on your own designs straight away and we will be there to offer help and advice along the way. This course is designed so you can return again and again and keep building your skills at your own pace.

  • This workshop is a comprehensive introduction to jewellery making and provides basic skills that can be developed over time, but also acts a supporting environment for those with experience who aren't quite ready to go it alone.
  • Maximum class size of 6 people.
  • These sessions run on various evenings during the week. Please contact us for more information and to book your place.

Sensible footwear must be worn in the studio and long hair tied back while using machinery. Please bear in mind that jewellery making can be messy so wear suitable clothing.

*Spring term 2016 will run in two blocks of 3 consecutive weeks with a break in the middle.
